As a Data Engineer  you are crucial to product success. For this, the scalability and security of our analytics platform are fundamental.

Our current analytics platform premergency.de offers the following functions:

  • attractive UI with material design (selective support by award-winning UX designers)

  • Vector-based map services (Mapbox MVTv2)
  • own routing engine and risk algorithms in scalable worker architecture
Qualifications
  • good experience in software architecture – you should know relevant authors and design patterns,
  • good knowledge of the Spring Framework (v5), but also interested in new tech like GoLang
  • basic knowledge of Python and willingness to write pipelines, workers etc. in Python instead of Java, though our backend stack is governed by Java
  • good knowledge in at least one ETL or data processing tool (e.g. Apache Airflow, Apache Beam, Spring Dataflow, Kedro)
  • passionate knowledge of Docker / Kubernetes or willingness to learn on the job
  • proficiency in SQL-2011 and experience in Postgresql
  • knowledge of MPP databases like Spark 2.0 or Exasol would be a plus
  • knowledge in Scrum and User Stories would be very great (ACs, Task-breakdown etc.),
  • willingness to take the test for certification as a Google Professional Cloud Data Engineer within the trial period
  • we expect you to be fluent in English (UniCert C1 or C2)
  • Willingness to participate in consulting projects and also to work hands-on
